v2.0 Official release!


Our official release! It's been just a short few months, but we made it and are extremely proud of our accomplishments on this game. We think it's a lot of fun and hope you will also!


This week we've done a lot of development, here are the changes:

- Implement tutorial level explaining mechanics

- Add score penalty for babies missing limbs (makes some sense)

- Rework baby color system so that we can avoid color overlap

- Increase maximum number of babies to 25

- Make limbs only fall off 25% of the time on impact with ground

- Interaction priority list to avoid weird situations like babies getting stuck on stations, etc.

- Add interaction animation

- Fix baby positioning in stations

- Complete rework of parent pathing and drop off system- parents now form a queue at the door and you must deal with the front parent first.

- Add grass texture outside daycare

- Change diaper and repair interaction to be hold button instead of button mash

- Implement level select screen, so you don't have to replay lower levels every time.

- Add more sound effects

- Bug fixes

- TONS of tuning.


We encountered a ton of little bugs this week that we needed to work through- most of these came from the new parent pathing, but we were able to work through them and figure out good solutions. We met with Elias on Monday and received a bunch more awesome feedback that we'd love to implement, but unfortunately we don't have enough time to do it all. Should we decide to keep working on this game after today, we have a long list of things to make this game even better. That being said, we're extremely happy with how far we've come and think our game is a lot of fun!
